Workers at Amazon went to strike Black Friday demanding higher pay and better working conditions.
The strike is expected to through so-called Cyber Monday, the end of long holiday weekend in which retailer offer discounts to shopper ahead of the Christmas shopping season.
The strikes are taking place in over 20 counties including the U.S. Germany, the United Kingdom, Japan, India, Brazil, according to ABC News.
Workers on the major online retailer are alleging “labor abuses, environmental degradation and threats to democracy,” according to UNI Global Union and Progressive International, a Switzerland-based global labor union.
The strike is titled “Make Amazon Pay,” and has been organized by UNI Global Union and Progressive International, according to The Hill.
Amazon said that the group organizing the protest is being misleading and is promoting an inaccurate narrative.
“The fact is at Amazon we provide great pay, great benefits, and great opportunities,” Amazon spokesperson Eileen Hards told ABC News in a statement.
