Republican Georgia Senate Candidate Herschel Walker challenged his opponent, Senator Raphael Warnock (D), on his track record of supporting President Joe Biden in a statement on Monday.
“Reverend Warnock, since we’re asking questions today: Why do you vote with Biden 96 percent of the time? Why do you support abortion up until the time of birth? Why do you believe our law enforcement officers are thugs? Why do you believe men should compete against women in sports?” Walker asked Warnock on Twitter.
The Trump-endorsed Walker brought up the tentative debate with the incumbent senator.
“The host of our debate must agree to not shield you from these questions because the debates are about the voters, not the press or ether party. You’ve done nothing to make sure a debate is about the voters,” Walker said.
Walker accused Warnock of doing little to help the agricultural sector of the Peach State.
“Don’t just tweet about it, be about it. Georgia’s [agricultural] community has been hit hard with gas prices and inflation. You’ve done more for Joe Biden than you have for our [agricultural] community,” Walker said to the “pro-choice pastor.”
Walker has focused heavily on agriculture throughout July, and he spoke at an event with State Senator Tyler Harper (R-Ocilla), who is the GOP nominee for Georgia Commissioner of Agriculture.
“Raphael Warnock has done more for Joe Biden than he has for our farmers. Since elected, gas prices are up 84 percent and inflation is at 9.1 percent. That’s unacceptable,” the Peach State football legend said.
In light of another increase in violence in Atlanta over the past year, Walker criticized both Warnock and the incumbent commander in chief’s law enforcement policies.
“Joe Biden and Raphael Warnock’s soft-on-crime policies are making Atlanta more dangerous. We need to let our police know that we will not only fully fund them but will have their backs,” Walker emphasized.
The renowned University of Georgia alumnus made a stop in Savannah before visiting a local sheriff’s office on Tuesday.
“Spoke to the Georgia Association of Chiefs of Police in Savannah before visiting the Bulloch County Sheriff’s Office to THANK our law enforcement heroes for their work to keep us safe. Reverend Warnock has done more for our criminals that he has done for our police,” Walker tweeted.
The Trump endorsee also brought up the Keystone XL Pipeline, a project which Congressman Barry Loudermilk (GA-11) told The Georgia Star News he wants Biden to resume.
“Gas is more expensive because you and Senator Warnock cancelled the Keystone XL Pipeline and stopped domestic drilling, sending American jobs and energy overseas,” Walker said in response to a Biden tweet.
