A Political Action Committee (PAC) launched this week to support Republican Herschel Walker and his campaign to defeat Senator Raphael Warnock (D-GA) in 2022.
That PAC, 34N22, debuted Monday.
34N22 spokesman Stephen Lawson told The Georgia Star News that the PAC will “work aggressively to define Raphael Warnock.”
“This is so voters know that he [Warnock] is directly responsible for the skyrocketing inflation, the labor shortages that we are now seeing, the crisis going on at our border, the supply chain issues, and the runaway debt,” Lawson said.
A 34N22 press release said the PAC will conduct fundraising, grassroots engagement, television and digital advertising campaigns, direct mail, polling, and more.
“Over the weekend, 34N22 also launched its first round of digital advertising in Georgia, which will run until December 20 and features spots across Facebook, Instagram, and Google,” according to the press release.
“The campaign includes targeted, geo-fenced ads surrounding locations of persuadable voter blocs who are key to winning a statewide election in Georgia.”
Warnock tweeted Tuesday that he is “the most vulnerable Senate Democrat up for reelection.”
Members of Warnock’s campaign have sent their followers several emails recently calling Georgia “the number one battleground.“
Walker filed paperwork in August to run for Warnock’s seat. Former President Donald Trump endorsed Walker in September.
Walker, a former NFL star, is the clear favorite to win the Republican nomination in 2022, a poll released last month revealed.
Internal polling showed 74 percent of Georgia GOP primary voters supported Walker. Walker led his closest opponent, Gary Black, by 68 points, while 16 percent said they remained undecided.
Walker’s support extended to both self-described moderate and conservative Republicans, 61 percent, and 81 percent of whom said they would vote for him.
The former NFL player often uses social media to express right-of-center beliefs. Earlier this year, for example, Walker tweeted that elected officials best serve their time “upholding the Constitution and finding solutions to hold companies and our government accountable.”
Walker also said “elected officials are sworn to office to protect the Constitution, foreign and domestic. Anyone not honoring their oath should be impeached.”
