Obama Education Secretary Compares Anti-Mask Americans to Kabul Suicide Bombers

Arne Duncan

Arne Duncan, the Secretary of Education under former President Barack Obama, compared individuals who choose not to wear a mask to the deadly terrorists who killed 13 American service members earlier this week.

In a tweet, Duncan claimed that people who do not wear a mask have a “strikingly similar” mindset to the extremists who killed and injured dozens of American and Afghan citizens.

“Have you noticed how strikingly similar both the mindsets and actions are between the suicide bombers at Kabul’s airport, and the anti-mask and anti-vax people here? They both blow themselves up, inflict harm on those around them, and are convinced they are fighting for freedom,” the Obama administration official said in the tweet.

CASE

The tweet comes on the same day that President Joe Biden traveled to Dover Air Force Base to meet the families of the service members killed in the suicide bombing and salute the caskets of the fallen soldiers.

Immediately, Duncan received harsh backlash for his comments that seemingly disregarded the two explosions that were reported at the center of evacuation efforts being carried out by the United States. The deadly blast killed at least 70 people and injured dozens more.

“Delete your account, now, you shameless, soulless ghoul. I’m a pro-mask, pro-vaccine conservative – by personal choice because of my lung damage from Iraq, not by mandate – and you literally SUCK at this thing called being a human being,” replied former Marine Matthew Bently.

“This is from Obama’s Secretary of Education. See how uneducated he is, unable to make even elementary distinctions. This is the caliber of intellectual Visigoths we have running the country,” added author and filmmaker Dinesh D’Souza.

In a seeming paradoxical move, Duncan encouraged his followers to “treat each other with compassion,” just one day before his derogatory comments.
