A Georgia judge on Thursday released parts of the Fulton County special grand jury report into efforts from former President Donald Trump and his allies to alter the results of Georgia’s 2020 presidential election.
Five pages of the report, including its introduction and conclusion, were released following county Superior Court Judge Robert McBurney’s order earlier this week.
“A majority of the Grand Jury believes that perjury may have been committed by one or more witnesses testifying before it,” the report states. “The Grand Jury recommends that the District Attorney seek appropriate indictments for such crimes where the evidence is compelling.”
The jury’s recommendations on who specifically should face potential charges were not released.
The report also stated that the jury found “by a unanimous vote that no widespread fraud took place in the Georgia 2020 presidential election that could result in overturning that election.”
Over roughly seven months, the jury heard from 75 witnesses, including prominent Trump allies such as Trump attorney and former New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani and South Carolina GOP Sen. Lindsey Graham.
Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis lobbied to keep the entire report sealed because she said decisions to charge are “imminent.”
