10 Questions American Enterprise Institute Scholar John Fortier Should Ask Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger at Livestream Event

Members of the Washington, D.C.-based American Enterprise Institute (AEI) are scheduled to host a livestream question and answer session with Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger Tuesday.

AEI officials have scheduled the event for 3:30 p.m. Central on Tuesday on AEI’s website. People may submit their own questions to Raffensperger as they watch.

In an emailed press release, AEI officials, quoting recent studies, said “American elections are more secure and accessible than ever.”

“Nevertheless, it is increasingly difficult to shake the narrative that state voting systems are corrupt and untrustworthy,” AEI officials said.

According to the press release, AEI scholar John C. Fortier (pictured above, left) will converse with Raffensperger “on the consequences of Republicans and Democrats exploiting election falsehoods for political gain and how to restore public trust in this essential American institution.”

For this session, The Georgia Star News wants Raffensperger to answer the following 10 questions:

(1) Why have you failed to produce the ballot transfer forms documenting the chain of custody for all of the estimated 600,000 absentee vote-by-mail ballots deposited in drop boxes in the November 2020 election for public review and inspection? As The Georgia Star News reported earlier this month, chain of custody documents have not been produced by state or county officials for 355,000 absentee vote-by-mail ballots deposited in drop boxes in the November 2020 election.

(2) The Georgia Star News, through an open records request to Cobb County for ballot transfer forms, documented the following as it pertains to the November 2020 election: Exactly 78 percent of the 89,000 absentee vote-by-mail ballots deposited in drop boxes in Cobb County were not delivered “immediately” –defining “immediately” as one hour or less–from the drop boxes to the county registrar as the July 2020 Emergency Election Code Rule required. Does this engender voter confidence in Georgia’s November 2020 election results?

(3) When your office accepted $5.6 million from the Mark Zuckerberg-funded Center for Election Innovation and Research did you research whether Zuckerberg or other prominent members of that organization had a personal political bias one way or the other for or against either of the two presidential candidates, Donald Trump and Joe Biden? If yes then what did your research tell you? If the answer is no to the first question then why did you not research this? Why have you not publicly disclosed the use of proceeds by your office of this $5.6 million grant?

(4) Why did you sign the March 2020 consent decree and not notify the Georgia General Assembly?

(5) Did members of the Georgia General Assembly not deserve a say as to the terms of that consent decree? Why or why not?

(6) If you could go back in time and choose whether to sign the consent decree and to not tell the Georgia General Assembly about it, would you do the same or would you act differently? Why or why not?

(7) U.S. Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY) said earlier this year that different secretaries of state, including you, bypassed state legislators and changed state laws last year. In so doing, Paul said you and others violated the U.S. Constitution. Was Paul wrong or was he correct? Did you violate the U.S. Constitution? Please explain why you think this way?

(8) Why won’t you let the Fulton County mail-in ballots be inspected?

(9) It recently came out that Georgia Deputy Secretary of State Jordan Fuchs anonymously sourced a Washington Post article about former U.S. President Donald Trump that portrayed the former president in a negative light. This is a story that people now discredit and a story that the newspaper’s own staff admitted they took out of context. Do you encourage Fuchs and other members of your staff to speak anonymously to the press, for this story or for other stories? If so, why? Did you encourage Fuchs to speak anonymously to the press for this story? When did you learn that Fuch’s was the anonymous source? And what was your reaction?

(10) Why should the voters of Georgia re-elect you?

According to AEI’s website, Fortier focuses on Congress and elections, election administration, election demographics, voting, absentee voting, the US presidency, and the Electoral College.

  1. John Walters

Kemp, Ratstinkberger, Sterling, the Georgia state legislature, and assembly, look like BACKWOODS TABACCO CHEWING UNEDUCATED RED NECKS, to the rest of the world, they need to be elected out.

  2. dd

Are AG Carr, Kemp, and Duncan going to be by the SOS’s side detailing their part in ensuring fair and free elections. Will Ralston be part too?

The only way to convice us that the elections were fair would be to to quit preventing the evidence to be heard. COMMON SENSE, right?

After that happens then hopefully some will be took away in state issued jump suits.

Until crooked politicians start getting held accountable for their actions, by being prosecuted, most American will not have any faith in the illegal system they created.
