Georgia Republican Party Names Its Next Executive Director

Chairman Josh McKoon appointed Travis Bowden on Wednesday as the new executive director of the Georgia Republican Party (GAGOP).

“With the news that our Executive Director Ryan Caudelle would be leaving the Georgia Republican Party for a new and exciting opportunity in the conservative movement, I was faced with quickly identifying and hiring an Executive Director who could keep the positive momentum we have achieved in the last 31 days going and to accelerate initiatives our leadership intends to roll out in 2023,” McKoon said in a statement. “I am excited to announce I found that Executive Director and am appointing longtime grassroots activist, state committee member, and political consultant Travis Bowden to fill this important role.”

“Travis is a lifelong Republican and has been in and around Georgia Republican politics for decades. As a recent Class President of Republican Leadership for Georgia, Travis has built a great network of relationships among our grassroots leaders and has a wealth of experience so he will be prepared to hit the ground running,” McKoon added. “With this key hire made, I look forward to continuing to build the team that will help us fire Joe Biden next year and elect a Republican President!”

Bowden (pictured above) responded to his appointment, “I’m excited for this opportunity to join the Georgia Republican Party as its new Executive Director. Under Chairman McKoon’s leadership, I believe our Party is prepared for victory in 2024.”

Bowden will assume the role of executive director next week, according to a press release by GAGOP. His appointment follows a string of recent key appointments to the party’s executive committee, as previously reported by The Georgia Star News.

Harrison Lance was appointed chairman of the Georgia Republican Party Foundation; John White was reappointed as GAGOP’s Parliamentarian; Vikki Consiglio was appointed GAGOP’s finance chair; and Alex Kaufman was reappointed as GAGOP’s general counsel.
