Welcome to the Wednesday edition of our daily Virginia Trump campaign update! We will provide our readers with daily updates on the Trump Virginia campaign from today to November 3 (and after…if need be!).
It’s officially 34 days until the election on November 3 – and 31 days until early voting in Virginia closes. The deadline to register to vote in time for the 2020 election is October 13.
President Trump and Democrat nominee, and former Vice President Joe Biden met Tuesday night in the first of three scheduled presidential debates. Trump and Joe Biden opened the debate discussing the nomination of Amy Coney Barrett to the Supreme Court before transitioning to the a back-and-forth over health care.
Vice President Mike Pence and Democrat nominee Kamala Harris will hold their one and only debate on October 7.
The next time Trump and Biden debate will be October 15, then for a final time on October 22.
Back here in Virginia, many of the president’s supporters gathered across the state for debate watch parties.
But with just over a month now until November 3, the Trump Team Virginia campaign continues to mobilize and be involved in register new voters and connect with other voters in a state many believe the president has a chance to win.
“Our massive mobilization effort continues to send the message that Virginia is absolutely in play,” said John Fredericks, chairman of the Trump Virginia delegation. Fredericks joined other Trump Victory volunteers in Virginia Beach on Tuesday afternoon, knocking on doors. It’s all part of the Trump campaign’s strategy to continue going into areas where the Biden campaign isn’t going.
The Warren County Republican Party will be holding a Trump rally at its party headquarters in Front Royal. The event begins at 6 p.m. The event will feature speeches and live music. Trump supporters are encouraged to bring their signs, flags, masks and hats. A list of speakers for the event will be announced soon.
