Former Acting U.S. Attorney General Matthew Whitaker Endorses GA-6 Candidate Jake Evans

ROSWELL, Georgia – Former Acting United States Attorney General Matthew Whitaker recently announced his full endorsement of Jake Evans, a candidate for Georgia’s 6th Congressional District.

The Trump-appointed former acting attorney general stated on Monday, “Jake shares my passion for backing the men and women in law enforcement who put their own safety on the line, make life-and-death decisions and face contempt and hate from the Left at every turn. If I was a 6th District voter … Jake Evans would be my choice for Congress.”

The Georgia Star News previously reported that former President Donald J. Trump also gave Jake Evans his full endorsement. Whitaker held his position as AG for three months after Jeff Sessions’ resignation before he was succeeded by former AG for H.W. Bush’s administration, William Barr.

As part of his campaign, Jake Evans says he supports “U.S. term limits” and has signed the “taxpayer protection pledge” – in addition to being officially backed by the Atlanta Tea Party, Conservative Political Action Committee (CPAC), and The Calvin Coolidge Project.

Other backers of the GA-6 candidate from Lithia Springs includes former Cobb County Sheriff, Neil Warren, former GA-06 candidate, Colonel Eric Welsh, Milton Mayor Peyton Jamison, and Alpharetta Mayor Pro Tempore, Dan Merkel; as well as former ambassador to Switzerland, Ed McMullen, the former ambassador to Israel, David M. Friedman, and the former ambassador to the Netherlands, Pete Hoekstra.

CASE

Jake Evans has also received official endorsements from Newt Gingrich, Sean Hannity, Richard Grenell, Kash Patel, and former National Security Advisor, Robert O’Brien. Congressmen Darrell Issa (CA-50) and Dan Bishop (NC-09) are two current U.S. House Representatives that have announced their support of the Georgian as well. Other worthy mentions include Former Rep. Bob Barr (R-GA-07), former Georgia Speaker, Mark Burkhalter, and best-selling author Nick Adams.

In his official statement, Trump called Evans a “young man rapidly on the rise” and stated that “the people of Georgia love him for his strong stance on the Second Amendment, our Military and Vets, Border Protection, Law Enforcement, Pro-Life, and of course, Election Integrity.”

“He was born and raised in Georgia, has a wonderful family, and will do a fantastic job as your new congressman from the 6th district,” the former president said.
