Republican Jeanne Seaver Announces Bid for Georgia Lieutenant Governor

Georgia resident Jeanne Seaver, a Republican who was one of former U.S. President Donald Trump’s grassroots coordinators, has declared her candidacy for lieutenant governor.

“I have heard from voices all over the state who said they are sick and tired of candidates and elected officials coming to them every two to four years to go out and work for them and help get them elected and then you never hear from them again,” Seaver told The Georgia Star News Monday.

“The people are not feeling represented. I decided that we’ve given them chances over and over again, but people want to feel represented. They want to know what you’re going to do for them.”

Seaver also said that, if elected, she will advocate strongly for voter integrity. She said “fraud came from no-excuse absentee voting.” She said she’s pro-life and pro-businesses and she will promote trade schools within the state. Seaver also said she will start her first statewide campaign tour where she will host entrepreneurs at a community roundtable and listen to what issues matter most to them.

“My life was not so great, even though I was raised upper-middle class,” Seaver told The Star News.

“My father and mother were alcoholics. My father left us — myself and four of my siblings — when I was 16-years-old and I have been on my own since I was 17 taking care of myself. I never asked anybody for anything. My father always told me nobody owes you anything. If you want something then go out and get it for yourself. So I work hard every day.”

According to Seaver’s campaign website, she has more than 33 years of experience as a legal administrator and comptroller and once worked for well-known attorney F. Lee Bailey. She currently is in her 20th year as an associate with a private equity company in the aerospace industry.

“Most recently, Jeanne founded and is president of a grassroots organization called Stand Up, Lead or Shut Up, Inc.,” according to Seaver’s campaign website.

“The organization’s mission is to assist certain candidates and incumbents get elected by putting  boots on the ground,  and to hold our elected officials accountable. In addition, the organization and its members also host fundraising events for law enforcement and emergency responders and donate to their non-profits.”
