The GOP-led House voted 311-114 to expel Rep. George Santos, R-N.Y., on the House floor Friday, trimming the GOP’s already slim majority.

House Speaker Mike Johnson made the formal announcement on the House floor after the vote.

He said the governor of New York would be notified about the vacancy and the House now has 434 members.
