The Walker-Warnock December 6 runoff could determine whether Republicans, most of whom are pro-life, take control of the Senate from Democrats, almost all of whom support Senator Richard Blumenthal’s (D-CT) legislation that would embed abortion on demand, at any time during pregnancy, into federal law, and make invalid most individual state pro-life laws.

‘Deepest Fears Are Coming True’: Abortion Lobby Plots Response to Likely Overturn of Roe

Pro-abortion activists slammed a leaked Supreme Court draft opinion which signaled that justices would likely overturn Roe v. Wade, claiming the decision would diminish women’s rights and pledging to fight while abortion remains a constitutional right.

Politico published the Court’s leaked draft opinion in the Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health case Monday, revealing that a majority of justices had decided in December to overturn Roe during a non-binding vote. Pro-abortion groups vowed to fight back, emphasizing that the decision was not yet final.

Georgia State Senator Says Goodbye as Run for Attorney General Heats Up

A Georgia State Senator officially left her post Monday on the last day of this year’s legislative session, as she continues her bid to be the Peach State’s top attorney. 

“I leave the Senate perhaps most proud of the gains we’ve made in representation, with women now making up a supermajority of the Democratic Caucus. I know they’ll continue to fight the good fight,” State Sen. Jen Jordan (D-District 6) said on Twitter. “From the bottom of my heart, thank you for all of your support. We’ve made a difference in the State Senate together, and I cannot wait to continue my service to this great state as Georgia’s next Attorney General.”

Democrats Considering Bill Forcing Taxpayer-Funded Abortions for 2021 Session

Virginia delegates are evaluating a potential bill for the 2021 regular session that would increase funding for abortions under Medicaid and require individual businesses to include abortions in their insurance plans. A House subcommittee met on Tuesday to discuss House Bill (HB) 1445 and hear public comment on the bill. Planned Parenthood and NARAL representatives offered comment, as well as the Virginia Society for Human Life President Olivia Turner.
