JASPER, Georgia – Former Phoenix news anchor and mother of two, Kari Lake, gave high praise to filmmaker Dinesh D’Souza’s documentary film 2000 Mules, which highlights the ballot-stuffing operations that occurred across multiple states during the 2020 presidential election.
“We just saw Dinesh D’Souza’s movie. It’s outrageous. It’s called 2000 Mules. I think every man and woman in this country should see it,” Lake declared Friday on a campaign stop to support David Perdue’s run against Georgia Governor Brian Kemp at the Appalachian Gun, Pawn & Range.
The film details the ballot-harvesting that occurred in Wisconsin, Arizona, Georgia, Michigan, and Pennsylvania, all states which were won by Donald Trump in the 2016 presidential election before flipping blue in 2020. A “mule” is defined as someone who was paid to stuff drop boxes with multiple ballots at a time.
Using video surveillance and geo-tracking data via cellphone pings, the documentary details a network of mules in the aforementioned battleground states who collected ballots from non-governmental organizations (NGOs) before depositing them in their target drop boxes.
The film was produced by D’Souza Media and Salem Media Group, and was created by D’Souza in conjunction with True the Vote, an organization founded by Catherine Engelbrecht whose objective is to stop election fraud. True the Vote paid for cellphone information from some 3 trillion cellular devices, using the GPS metadata to determine whose devices were detected at both ballot drop boxes and local NGOs.
In the trailer for the docufilm, True the Vote’s data analyst Greg Phillips said, “We identified in Atlanta 242 mules that went to an average of 24 drop boxes. In Philadelphia alone we’ve identified over 1,100 mules.”
In the context of the highly disputed 2020 election and subsequent state audits, Arizona’s Lake took the opportunity in her interview with The Georgia Star News to denounce conservative politicians she calls “RINOs,” meaning Republican-in-name-only.
“Let’s look at the election. How many Republicans were in office when our election was stolen and corrupted in Arizona? We had a governor. We had an attorney general. We had board supervisors who were overseeing our election. They were all Republicans for the most part,” she said.
Lake’s criticism was not exclusive to her home state of Arizona, as she also asserted her take on The Peach State.
“Look at Georgia, Governor Kemp, he’s a Republican. Raffensperger, a Republican. They’re establishment RINOs, and they don’t care about the people. They allowed our election to be corrupted. And then they had the audacity to certify that corrupt election. And they’re trying to just ignore it,” the Arizona gubernatorial candidate said.
She added, “It is so outrageous how they just stole the election from us. And they’ve got the evidence right there. And our elected officials have that evidence. They must do something with that.”
“Without free and fair elections, we are not a democracy, we are a criminal cartel masquerading as a democracy,” said 2000 Mules director D’Souza.
In addition to her discontent with the current level of trust in the electoral process, Lake also expressed the need for citizens to participate in the political process.
“We need to vote. First of all, vote them all out of office. Anybody who was involved in our state politics, who has done nothing to stop the stolen election, try to reverse it, try to fix it, should be voted out of office,” said Lake. “That’s why I really encourage everyone to vote for the Trump-endorsed candidates, because we know they will do something to help. We’re going to try to get our elections secure and our border secure so that we have a country.”
