Georgia State Senator Miller Launches Campaign for Lieutenant Governor

One of the highest ranking Republicans in the state legislature, State Senator Butch Miller (R-Gainesville), is running for Lieutenant Governor of Georgia.

In an interview with the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, Miller said his campaign will focus on conservative principles and policies that have been championed in the state.

“Georgia has had conservative values and conservative policies that have made us so successful. No one is moving out of Georgia to New York and California and Michigan. They’re moving out of those places to Georgia because our conservative values and policies work for families and businesses,” Miller said.

Miller argued his record in the state legislature and experience as successful a car salesman will help propel his campaign.

“That’s exactly why I can win in November. I can promote and secure and expand our conservative values and even put those in context where Democrats are comfortable voting for them. Every senator has a vote, and every senator has a voice, and every voice deserves to be heard,” he told the Journal-Constitution.

The vacancy is being created by the current Lieutenant Governor Geoff Duncan leaving the post after harsh criticisms by members of his own party. Instead, Duncan said he will focus his political efforts on creating an organization called “GOP 2.0” which he describes as an attempt to “fix” the Republican Party. Duncan has constantly spoken out against President Donald Trump and his supporters.

President Trump celebrated the decision by Duncan to not seek another term. In a statement earlier this month, he said, “Good news for Georgia and the Republican Party. Lieutenant Governor Geoff Duncan won’t be running again for office. He was the one who, along with Governor Brian Kemp, stopped the Georgia State Senate from doing the job they wanted to do on the 2020 Presidential Election Fraud.”

Why would he waste his time trying to convince democrats of anything? They will use him, then stab him in the back the first chance they get. We have thrown out the gentlemens rules of the 1800’s, now we are getting rid of RINO’s next are ethics, then democrats (dont bother wasting time convincing them of anything just get rid of them) THATS MAGA, and we are on the move, and will win

This guy is a RINO if there ever was one. Dont know him, but just listen to him. Ï can promote, I can win, every senator has a voice, a vote, and deserves to be heard”. Actually Miller: every person has a voice, a legal vote, and deserves a vote. NOT A MENTION FROM HIM ABOUT CONSTITUENTS. TYPICAL RINO, AND TO TOP IT OFF ….HE IS A CAR SALESMAN.. NO THANKS. As soon as i hear I I I I, they are done.
