On Thursday, Georgia Governor Brian Kemp (R-Ga.) said at a press conference that he would not support efforts to remove Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis from office following her indictment of President Donald Trump.
As reported by Breitbart, Kemp referred to such efforts as “political theater,” after a Republican state senator had already vowed to take action against Willis (pictured above). Willis’ indictment included 41 different charges against President Trump and 18 campaign surrogates, lawyers, and other prominent allies.
Earlier this month, State Senator Colton Moore (R-Ga.) introduced a measure to begin an emergency session of the state legislature to investigate Willie and determine whether or not she should be removed from office.
“As a Georgia State Senator, I am officially calling for an emergency session to review the actions of Fani Willis,” said Moore at the time. “America is under attack. I’m not going to sit back and watch as radical left prosecutors weaponize their elected offices to politically target their opponents.”
In response, Kemp argued that calling a special session would “ignore current Georgia law and directly interfere with the proceedings of a separate but equal branch of government.”
“Up to this point, I have not seen any evidence that D.A. Willis’ actions or lack thereof, warrant action by the prosecuting attorney oversight commission,” Kemp added.
Kemp’s statement has earned him further criticism from conservatives, as the Georgia governor already had a rocky relationship with the 45th president. In the immediate aftermath of the 2020 election, President Trump repeatedly criticized Kemp, along with Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger (R-Ga.), for not doing more to combat voter fraud in the state which may have changed the election results that year. In 2022, President Trump endorsed former Senator David Perdue (R-Ga.) in his bid to unseat Kemp in the gubernatorial primary, which Perdue ultimately lost.

I will have to side with Trump on this issue. I heard the video of Trump’s conversation and I believe that he is being deliberately misquoted, needless to say, for democrat slander. . Hopefully the jury gets to hear the unedited conversation. I have my fears however.
That’s my governor that I voted for? Hmmm
We knew when the voting machines were brought in that Kemp is a snake!
